Stopped in at around 6:30 on a Wednesday night and there were about three other small groups there. I ordered the fish n chips dinner(incl mushy peas), and my wife had the small portion. The food was good, but the larger portion was nearly identical on size to the smaller portion. I definitely would have gone for the smaller if I’d known. Paid about £10 total. Otherwise, it was a lovely experience. We just ordered tap water and the hostess broght us bottled water for no charge!

Johnny English’s shiny golden exterior has been catching Liverpudlian’s eyes for a couple of weeks now. It’s finally opened yet feels out of place in a city centre, it really gives off that seaside, fresh catch vibe! The fish and chips are great, service was slightly shaky yet they they had only been open two days when I visited so I’ll let them off. I just went for your bog standard fish and chips and they were definitely above average, maybe this place does have potential to stick around on the food famous Bold Street for a while!
