I’m not a big fan of the Henley’s brand as I find it to be brash and over priced and these are things which do not impress me. Nonetheless there seem to be swarms of people in Liverpool and the country over who wear the brand. This store in Liverpool One has not made me a fan of the brand as it epitomises everything that I do not like about the brand as a whole. The store seems arrogant and brash and it has no sense of class about it whatsoever and I believe that this does not make for a good shopping environment. The staff here are actually quite good and they do their best to help you with your shop but not even customer service could convince to pay over the odds for poor quality produce.

Henleys is another high street fashion store which is popular amongst the young generation. Set in Liverpool One, this small shop sells a frenzied variety of clothes such as t-shirts, shorts, denim and fashion accessories. There is also a range of women’s wear of a similar style. One thing in particular which caught my eye, were their selection of multi-coloured chequered shirts that stood out by a mile — smart and trendy. Some of their other t-shirts have the word Henleys written right across them, so they certainly have articles of clothing that will stand out from the crowd. Even though Henleys offer a decent variety of gear, prices are relatively high and even the items on sale were still expensive; for example, I spotted a fairly standard t-shirt selling for around £40. Therefore, if you’re looking for value spending, then Henleys is best avoided.

Contrary to the Hoorah Henry connotations of the name Henley’s is host to a selection of very uncouth, very un-‘regatta set’ clothing; t-shirts studded with diamantes and emblazoned with huge Ed Hardy-esque tiger and dragon prints, short sleeved shirts with frilly bits and epaulettes and dark rinse jeans with extraneous flappy pockets on the knees. Not a knotted jumper or pink oxford shirt in sight. The store itself is laid out nicely enough with sturdy wood and spotlights. There were even some alright offers on(including two polo shirts for £45) and the staff looked like they were having a laugh at least(I suppose you have to be a bit of a joker when you’re selling clothes that wouldn’t look too out of place on a clown) but it’s not enough to tempt me into buying any of the tatty stuff on offer here.
