You know what? Game ain’t all that it used to be. You wanna know why??? Well there was a time when the place was like a library for games, I could pretty much buy any game I could think of. Now for reasons unknown to me or the bufoon like members of staff they just don’t have the collection they used to have. That’s not the only complaint I have either. Who chooses the price points at Game is the question I want to ask??? Are they completely oblivious and ignorant to how much their rivals are offering? I confronted one member of staff, raising a valid point. «Excuse me mate, are you aware Asda are selling this particular game £8 cheaper than you are?» The reply was mind boggling. «Go buy it from Asda then!!» I walked out in disgust and they lost a customer that day. The big market chains really are slowly grinding these outlets out the way, and unless they react and demolish the attitude I encountered, Game ain’t gonna survive for long.

Game is a console lover’s paradise and the kind of establishment which my girlfriend despises as I can never walk past one without entering and perusing the various games for an inordinate amount of time. This particular branch in the centre of Liverpool is one of my favourites as the great deals seem to be springing out of the walls. The staff here are amongst the friendliest I have come across and it is clear from their enthusiasm that they adore gaming just as much as I do. To come across staff who are genuinely interested in their work and the customer also is a rarity these days and something I am extremely appreciative of. On the whole this place is friendly and welcoming with some great deals to boot and there really is no cause for complaint. As well as this the store is brilliantly organised and has a bit of something for every type of gamer.

Game is a great place for young and old alike who love video gaming. Most of the products here are the latest additions, so you’ll usually find whatever you’re seeking. If you’re a die hard fan too, you can also become a loyal member where you’ll gain benefits for purchases at the shop. The majority of games and consoles are a standard high street price but if you’re on a budget, they do have pre-owned games too(these obviously tend to be a bit older) but are still in good working condition and usually ones in-demand. Plus, if you have any unwanted games or consoles, you can trade-in for cash or exchange. I once traded in an XBOX360 and received about 60% cash value of the price I originally bought it. And I chose to trade-in at Game because the cash amount was substantially more than competitive stores such as CeX and Cash Converters. Game at Liverpool One is a shop that has dedicated and knowledgeable staff to assist you. It is easy to see why Game is the UK’s number one leading games retailer.

If you don’t want to resort to the likes of Cash Converter and CEX in Liverpool then Game is certainly the place to be. Tucked away in Liverpool ONE, Game offers the latest Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 games and allows memebers to pre-order high demand releases in advance. The selection and stock of Game definately surpasses some of its rivals, the shop attendants generally have a decent degree of knowledge over the market and make this the best place to shop for games, although keeping in mind that the shops before mentionned are often cheaper in terms of bargain hunting.
