this is a great local venue for those massive family get togethers.
from the outside, it doesnt look all that appealing with its high railings surrounding it, and the car park isnt that big. but considering its location, people living in the area can easily walk there, leaving the parking spaced for those coming from further afield.
the drinks are quite cheap, the bar staff friendly. the décor is average, its not garish, its just nice.
there is a massive space for a dancefloor, im not sure exactly how many people it can hold, but i know my family has had more than 150 people in there with room to spare.
there is a stage where a dj can set up.
there isnt an in house sound system, so you will have to provide your own, but the fur and feathers are really flexible in allowing you to come in early to set up.
sometimes, the staff have even helped to decorate the room with us, and they are really good in helping you set up for a buffet.
the room charge is reasonable, with it being held on deposit for you — about £50.
however, if you want to book this venue, you have to get in there early as it is really popular with something going on there virtually every weekend.
