The Loop Line is a fantastic, popular traffic free, wildlife route running from Halewood to Aintree and on to Southport on the Chesire lines path. This fabulous walking and cycling route follows the old railway line and is looked after by Sustrans(a transport charity) for everyone. Along the Loop Line trail, there are many different but valuable habitats worth looking out for, such as woodlands and wetland habitats. The open grasslands and grass verges along the trail are an important home and feeding place for many species of birds, mammals and insects which depend on the mix of foliage. If you are a keen cyclist(no need to be an expert) or into nature trails, the Loop Line offers a relaxing journey that goes on for miles.
