Freshly cooked traditional fish and chips, spaecializing in Fresh Haddock and Cod from Scotland with a light crisp batter. We will only use Maris Piper potatoes for our chips to get that crisp outer and fluffy inner chip with the best taste available. All traditional Chinese meals made fresh, with some new additions to the menu including Salt and Pepper Chicken, Crispy Shredded Chilli Beef, Honey and Lemon Chicken, Singapore Vermicelli noodles, and many more including Thai Style meals. We still sell our best selling Chicken Kebabs with all the trimings including our unique tahini sauce.
History
Established in 1967.
Chris’s Chippy was open in 1967 by Chris Moustoukas, a Greek Cypriot who entered England in search of a better life and his dream of owning his own business. Along with his wife Christoulla they arrived to England in 1960 where they both worked hard to make ends meet as they’re familly was growing and funds where in short supply. After working in restaurants and chip shops they decided to rent a chip shop of they’re own. After building a succesfull business, there confidence grew and with the savings they aquired they decided to buy their first chip shop in Lisburn Lane, Tuebrook, then went on of course to buy Chris’s on Rose Lane. After many years of hard work with long hours, Chris was recognised as one of the best fish and chip fryers in the North West, indeed winning many awards to prove it. His son Tony now aims to follow in his fathers footsteps by keeping to the same technique and using the same ingredients to make the perfect Fish and Chips and the tastiest Chinese and greek meals.

HI my name is Tony, son of the famous Chris of Chris’s Fish and Chip shop. My aim now is to continue with this family business so I can pass it on to my children, if they so desire!.I am absolutely determined to provide the best Fish and Chips in the Liverpool area and if I can Nationally. I will only sell the finest Quality Haddock and Cod which I have sourced from Aberdeen, Scotland. The same ethos applies to purchasing the potatoes I use for the Chips, thats why I use Maris Pipers from Linconshire. All the ingredients for the Chinese, Greek, English and Thai meals are locally sourced from the best suppliers I can find, this may change from time to time as it is sometimes difficult for my suppliers to keep up with the standards I set. I love what I do and believe that a good relationship with my customers is as essential, as is the quality of the food I produce.
