Good choice for fried chicken and pizza, especially late night. Both my wife and I have had take out there during our several trips to Liverpool and enjoyed.

When the craving hits you at the end of a night out for some greasy unhealthy food, then Chicken Bazooka is a great place to go. Like a fellow reviewer said, this place has the feel of a poor man’s KFC, but when you have the craving for nuked chicken, this is an excellent place to go. The menu is extensive, offering the sort of fast food you would expect, as well as meal deals for the extra hungry. There is seating inside which is great if you are a little worse for wear. The food is nothing special but it hits the spot. It is inexpensive and the portions are generous so what more can you ask for?

Let’s be honest this place is a bit of a poor man’s KFC but it is not a bad alternative and can provide some tasty fast food fare. From the outside looking in this place does not look too impressive and that is one of my issues with the place that it may not be all that hygienic but I have to say on a drunken night out that is not your main priority. The staff are okay here even if they can be a bit slow but generally the waiting time is not too bad and the food is often worth the wait. I’m not going to pretend that this place is amazing to eat at or that it really sticks out from other places in Liverpool but if you enjoy fast food and chicken in particular then you probably won’t have too many complaints about Chicken Bazooka, good name to.

And so we arrive at perhaps the most interestingly named takeaway in Liverpool. The decision to combine poultry and artillery for the name is baffling and the image it conjures up is bizarre to say the least. However, what is clear is that this KFC-lite store offers a good range of meal deals involving pizzas and kebabs as well as chicken(as the name suggests). Its low low prices, combined with a popular lunchtime menu and accompanying deals makes Chicken Bazooka memorable for reasons other than just its name. The only negative point I can think of is that its location as it is quite removed from the pubs, bars and shops in the city centre but its popularity despite this emphasises its quality.

Now here’s a central fast food take out or eat in for all of you who love your junk food! Even though Bazooka Chicken appears to be similar in style to KFC(almost a pretend version), it lives up to its delicious fast food one often craves and with the addition of a pizza menu, it is hard to resist when you walk past its doors. The first time I ever went to this place was when I was a student which is hard to believe given that I have been in Liverpool a long time. I can’t find much to fault with the food and service which is good but beware that the deep fried chicken is very greasy so certainly not for the health conscious. Pizzas are generally good depending on one’s taste. I once ordered a chicken and ham topping 9inch in diameter, which not only satisfied my taste buds but actually filled me up and I paid just £3. The crust was medium thickness with a crispy and rich spicy tomato sauce. The only negative I would note is that the interior décor is dated and there aren’t many seats for it being the busy place it is.
