B & Q

I like B&Q or B and Q or however you are supposed to type it. This store provides you with every piece of DIY equipment you could possibly need, whether you are a proper builder in dirty overalls and big shoes than can kick a hole in the wall, or whether you are of a less-​aggressive nature like me whereby you can possible put together a CD rack but as long as nobody touches it, it will forever look like a professional did it.
It is a proper hardware store. Firstly it’s massive! To me, this is the first thing you need from a hardware store. I hate going in to stores and they say «sorry if its not over on that shelf then we will have to order it in for you». In B&Q they always have whatever you need, and if not, it is probably out the back in a giant warehouse that I want to have a party in someday and invite the entire of Queen’s.
Plus, the staff are incredibly knowledgable, like properly smart. They know all of the bits and pieces you need, what bits and pieces aren’t very good, and what bits will look amazing with what other bits (obviously I could use big words to show off but people would then just assume I am incredibly smart and thats not what I’m trying desperately to get across).
We went to it for some roof insulation (there’s a story in itself but I’ll tell you when you’re older) and the staff helped us decide which one we need, carried it to the checkout and then out to the bus.
Absolutely faultless! Plus they also accepted me as a fellow putter-​upper of shelves! If you need any hardware of any kind, definately come here

This is a typical B&Q store, located in the retail park beside Sainsburys, Currys and Toys r Us. You get free parking here, theres plenty of spaces and always a good supply of trolleys outside for you to take as you go in.
The staff here are really friendly and seem to know their stuff. There always seems to be loads of staff floating around, so you never have to wait around if you need a bit of advice.
Plus i’ve always found the staff are eager to tell you about any good deals that the store has. I’ve had staff here recommend cheaper products to me that in their opinion would do a better jib. To me thats good service, and keeps me going back to that particular store.
