As we were in the good old town of Linlithgow about the time of lunch, it would be rude not to sample one of the cafes. I had known about Caffe La Ronda from a while back, so it was definatley on the cards to be tried and tested. The have a decent sized menu with includes baked potates, toasties and sandwiches. Having a look around the sandwiches are huge as well as the toasties. I choose the baked potato with tuna mayo filling. It came with a really nice salad, coleslaw and some crisps. Really good value as it was a BIG baked potato! To follow I had a flat white coffee — to my delight they serve Dear Green coffee, so i knew i was in the right place for coffee too! Service was quick and attentive. The staff looked happy and took pride as the place was immaculate. Vey clean and tidy. I couldn’t finish my ginger beer in time(they serve bundaberg — my favourite) so i asked for a takeaway cup so i could sip it whilst i walked, no questions asked, no problemo! It’s say to say I will be back, it’s a good wee café and it’s not far of a walk from the castle either!

Visited Café La Ronda today and was extremely disappointed. We ordered a large latte and a tea and two empire biscuits. When our order arrived my husband advised the waitress that he had asked for a large latte. She told us that it was a large latte to which my husband asked her to check as the mug was very small and that he would not be very happy if this was a large latte. I also asked her if I could get milk for my tea. She came back and said the manageress would bring the latte over. At this point I also asked her if I could have a teabag!!! The manageress came over and put a mug down and said that she had changed the latte and this was a small one. My husband said that this was ridiculous for the price they were charging. When I advised her that I had also had to ask for milk and a teabag for my tea she advised that they had been very busy and lunch time and we were getting it!!! This confused us somewhat at it was 3.30pm and there were only a handful of people in the café. As she walked away my husband told her we would not be back and her very caring response was suit yourself very customer focused. When we were finished I went to pay and asked the girl at the till if the woman we had spoken to was the manager or the owner, she advised that she was the owner. As I was getting my change the owner came over and asked the girl at the till what I had said. I was still standing there. I tried to explain that we were unhappy at the level of customer service she had provided and she wanted to know what was wrong. When I repeated what she had said at the table she denied it and said that when you order something from the menu you take what you get and that my husband had been aggressive towards the waitress. Her response to this was not to apologise for the level of service or that she was sorry we were unhappy no it was well, your husband said he wouldn’t be coming back, well you won’t be coming back. I was gobsmacked I am the first ever to be barred from a café for complaining about the coffee!!! Finally, I only gave this place one star because there was not an option to give it no stars

The Café La Ronda is a very expensive café situated on Linlithgow High street. The food quality however can vary, but i would not recommend anyone to go to Café la Ronda due to food quality variation and poor value for money.

Café La Ronda is yet another café within Linlithgow’s busy town centre. Overall my general impression of this place is average. When compared to other cafes nearby I think there is definitely room for improvement. This coffee shop is generally suitable for a quick lunch. They have a wide range of sandwiches, paninis and rolls all reasonably prices. I actually had a baked potato which was alright but wished I had gone for the panini. The only real problem is that the place doesn’t really feel very comfortable or relaxing. The staff were okay, but the atmosphere isn’t fantastic, and it was certainly quieter when I visited than many of the other cafes I’ve visited nearby.
