On Sunday night, get the Sunday Dinner Buffet — it’s pretty good deal. Rice Pilaf was way undercooked but everything else was pretty decent.

You have to hand it to the stuff they try their best but sadly it’s let down by the food. A la crate is extensive but missing the main meat Thailand does best which is Pork, mainly down to the Muslim ownership. Food is presented well but taste is nothing out of the ordinary. There has been two new Thai restaurants opened up in the village so best to give those a try. However there are plans to extend Thai lounge into the next-door with a dance floor so could be a reason to try it but the poor menu leaves me thinking save my money.

This place needs to make its mind up, with first opened as a Wine Bar called Abaca but due to none success transformed into a Thai restaurant, however its very tastefully decorated in a modern theme. It’s become a moderate success due to heavy marketing so ambience has improved but the Thai food is a sham. Starters take 20min to arrive to the table maybe even more food is very bland few flavours maybe lacking salt. I don’t recommend Abaca(Thai Lounge). With a new Thai restaurant opening in Lingfield Newchapple soon you’d think the management would up their game. But you never know management may another U-turn and transform it into a Spanish restaurant next time.

Two of us visited with high expectations but these were soon dashed. Service was pitifully slow and food average as best. Starter took 20 min’s to arrive, followed by a 30 min. wait between starter and soup. After waiting for our mains for an hour we requested the bill and left.

I went in there yesterday, saturday and me and my girlfriend where halfway through our meal when a celebrity guest arrived at the restaurant, it was peter andre who came with a few friends and family, we saw him with our own eyes as we sat up in the main restaurant and he sat in one of the booths, our waiter told us that he comes here very often because they live in dormans park which is 3mins drive from lingfield high street, our evening got even more exciting as the meal and service was excellent.
