Fully qualified, experienced and professional Tree surgeons conducting all tree and hedge work.

Services include: Reductions, Shaping and trimming, Pruning, Dismantles, fells, removals, pollarding, target pruning, rigging operations, stump grinding, log sales, tree inspections and tree surveys, pre-​development surveys.

Tree and hedge management advice, all Local Authority liaison and paperwork conducted.

Arboricultural Association Technician member, Professional Tree Inspector Certificate, fully insured.

Aswell as conducting quality tree and hedgework operations, we ensure all our work is accompanied by risk assessments and first aid qualified staff, trained in aerial rescue.

We have a strong history of quality domestic work, we also have wealth of experience in managing commercial treework operations for Blue chip clients, where health and safety and communication with the client is paramount.

History

Established in 2013.

Prior to Setting up Lichfield Treeworks Ltd, Nick Meade — The Director was a Foreman and surveyor for an Arboricultural Association Approved Treework contractor in the Midlands. Aswell as a hands-​on arborist role, Nick managed projects on both the Commercial and Domestic sides of the business from an initial client facing role through to tree stock survey, production of prioritised treework schedules, costing of works and management of all health and safety and on site activities on time and to budget.

Lichfield Treeworks Ltd was set up in June 2013 to provide services to both domestic and Commercial customers initially in the Midlands area, as an efficient, quality service provider.

We have a commitment to providing a transparent, quality service to all clients whilst encouraging an environment for staff to learn both the technical skills needed but also the theoretical and physiological knowledge that is so important but so often overlooked by traditional treework contractors

Meet the Business Owner

Nick M.

Business Owner

After starting in the treework business in 1998 and gaining his first qualifications, Nick experienced success within various other business environments before returning back into the Arboricultural industry and working his way up to Foreman/​Surveyor within an Arboricultural Association approved contractor in the Midlands. At this point, he was responsible for business development, costing of work, managing health and safety on sites, and ensuring work was completed on time and budget, aswell as operating in a client-​facing role to win business and improve service to blue-​chip clients (among others)

Nick lives in Lichfield with his wife and 4 children

Prior to getting married and having kids, Nick and Jane travelled the world together, mainly to see whether they could put up with eachother !

Nick plays hockey for Lichfield (when he can), supports Winston’s Wish (the U’k’s leading charity for bereaved children) and St Giles Hospice.
