We discovered The Apiary by chance whilst driving through Castle Donington and were glad that we decided to stop. They serve a range of drinks, snacks and bigger meals. I had a tasty panini which came with a generous portion of salad. I mention the salad as it was varied and had a tasty dressing which is important as no one wants to see a pile of limp iceberg lettuce. My companion had a bison burger which they enjoyed. However, the stars of the meal were the chips. They were amazing! I didn’t order any but I ate most of them on the plate. I was too full to eat dessert but they looked good.
The Apiary also has an extremely large bathroom so if you like a good stretch whilst powdering your nose then this is the place for you.

Absolutely fantastic cosy café to grab a great cup of coffee and a sandwich or sample one of the many beers from all over the world. Great desserts and music on the weekends. One of the best places in the village!
