We carry a range of designer eyewear as well as options to suit smaller budgets. Our eye examinations are comprehensive, making use of the latest technology, in a relaxed but formal setting. As a child friendly store we carry a wide range of children’s frames and we enjoy making the examinations fun and interactive for our younger patients. There is so much more to your eye examination at Saffron Eyecare than finding out if you require spectacles or contact lenses. Our optometrists also carry out a range of tests to assess the health of your eyes. We also offer services such as, Diabetic Screening /​Retinal Photography, D.V.L.A assessments, Cataract shared care referrals and home visits.

We pride ourselves on our continuity of care, and have the same Optometrists and support staff in place since 1996. We’re a community-​based opticians and have good links with local GP’s and Ophthalmologists.

Established in 1996.

Saffron Eyecare was established in July 1996 after the owners decided they could offer something different to the optical community. As an independent opticians our mission is simple, to provide attentive informative eye care and stylish quality products.
