Leicester Marriott Hotel

I had my reservation done by phoning the hotel, staff was good all went great. Upon arrival there was not any further explanation about the hotel gym/​swimming pool/​restaurant/​bar etc etc!
The room was just an average! I would say a 3 starts hotel ! It was very annoying that I could hear people on the next room! And you can notice any sound in the corridor. The bed was just fine, the pillows was okay! But not for a 4 starts hotel.
Very delayed cleaning that took until noon !
However, I tried the in — dinning and I’m satisfied with everything I orders, dishes was very generous ! And served very quickly! The reception staff afterwards were very lovely, polite and helpful! And I found myself enjoying chatting with them!
The breakfast at the mixx restaurant was good and staff were very very much at your service.

if you’re searching for a good motel, this one is NOT it.
Despite having a beautiful property and lobby… if you stay at this motel, you are going to find a preponderance of staff members who are not fully fluent in English, poor service, a mediocre restaurant, and beds with cratered mattresses in the left and right sleeping positions (advice here: sleep on the hump in the middle that is 2″ above the craters).
I have stayed weeks in this motel in fulfillment of my job, I have been in many different rooms… and I have seen it all. Room HVAC equipment that is noisy, noisy rooftop air make-​up units, hotel administrated parties that shook the hotel until 1:00am, housekeeping that you have to call in order to get your room cleaned, and rooms that are still dirty after housekeeping «cleaned» them. And, I have been in the same room twice that had the same water leak on the floor in the bathroom, that I was moved from the room on the prior stay for it to be fixed.
A few weeks back, the hotel housed an Indian wedding party. The bass from the music from the party reverberated throughout the building and lasted until the wee hours of the morning. I initially thought the problem was coming from the room below me. When I called the front desk to make them aware of the problem, they actually told me about the hotel managed party. They apologized and asked if I wanted a drink from the bar while I waited for the party to end. Evidently, the rest of the guests not at the party didn’t really need to sleep.
This week, I turned in my laundry and dry cleaning on Saturday morning, and was told that I would not be able to get it back until Sunday evening due to weekend service. On Sunday evening, I called and inquired where my laundry was, and was then told I would not get it back until Monday night. No work clothes for Monday!!!
The management at this motel will meet you at the lobby during check-​in with a smile and a shot glass drink for you… but they are completely befuddled on how to run a motel.
