Hansom Hall is a beautiful venue in the heart of Leicester city centre. Suitable for weddings, conferences and special events we offer planning, event management and catering services. History

Established in 2012.

Leicester Events Group, managers of Hansom Hall, formed as a not-​for-​profit company with the goal of providing high quality theatre opportunities to local children and young people through Leicester Theatre Group. Following a number of highly successful sell-​out shows Leicester City Council provided the group with rehearsal and performance space.

Designed and built in the 1830s, Hansom Hall was named after its architect Joseph Hansom. Originally designed as a church it was nicknamed «the Pork Pie Chapel» due to its domed roof. It was adopted as part of the Leicester Adult Education Centre before being granted to Leicester Events Group who plan to restore and develop it into a high quality theatre space.

Profits from venue hures go towards the development of the building and funding the youth theatre events, particularly allowing the company to offer discounted and subsidised rates to children from low income families who show strong performance potential.
