Rutland Lodge Medical Centre

This has been my GP for approx 6 or 7 years now, the surgery recently got refurbished to and now holds a much attractive look to it both on the outside and the inside to. In addition to that they have added a car park now to which makes it easier for any one coming with a car here.
The average wait i have to sustain for an appointment booked will be round about 6 days here approx. Surgery is busy and is also closed on a Thursday they do close late though each weekday they are open at 7. The services with the GPs though have been nothing but fantastic.

I’ve been a patient at this practice for two years now and have no complaints. They’ve got a really good system on the telephone which explains how the appointment structure works. I have always been able to get an appointment that day, without having to explain my symptoms/​problem to a receptionist. The Drs will speak to you over the telephone before you come into the surgery and a telephone consultation is sometimes enough and they will fax your prescription to the pharmacy next door (P100).
In the two years that I’ve been a patient I’ve also been pregnant and had a baby, the midwives are fabulous. Mum’s themselves, they’re really helpful and reassuring. The post-​natal care is excellent.
The only drawback is that the health visitors for this practice are all based in the meanwood health centre, which means you have to trudge down there for a health visitor appointment. This is a bit rubbish if you have to go for a jab for the baby and then want to get them weighed as it’s two separate appointments.
The surgery building is quite new and well looked after, there’s nice clean loos and also an electronic waiting room check-​in facility. There’s also plenty of room for your little one to toddle about without bothering anyone while you’re waiting.
