Next

I know it’s prolly a bit mean to rate this during the Next Sale, but that’s when I went, and Jay Rayner reviews restaurants whenever they’re open (see his review in the Guardian of Obsidian in Manchester — it upset a lot of people apparently, hee hee). Anyway. It was half an hour before closing time, so ages to go, still plenty of shopping to be done. So I got some stuff to try on. And then I got into the changing rooms and what said my size on the hanger actually had a sale tag on a size smaller. And then when I realised it wasn’t going to fit, I spotted it said a size smaller than even that on the inside. Which made me grumpy. And then I tried some of the sale stuff on and it was crap and then the non sale stuff was awful too. Really bad quality. Hot Steve and I reckon that they never try and sell all the pap normally that tips up in the sale items, because it’s always always horrible, and then it ends up in a Next Clearance, and because we all think Next = Quality we get duped into buying it.
It’s a con! A CON I tell you!
Also, I didn’t like the layout of this Next. It seems to have a really low ceiling.

This particular branch of Next is one of the better ones. It’s always well stocked and tidy, with a friendly greeter on the door.
The location is a bit odd though — it used to be near Debenhams, but now it’s moved down near Sainsbury. I don’t know if they get more foot traffic at this position, but it gives me a different impression about the shop somehow.
My main issue with Next, and by that I mean all branches of the shop, is that the full range in the catalogue isn’t available in the shops. I’ve never found a size 22 in any branch, including this one.

This next store is great it sells mens, womens and kids clothing. I went looking for shoes the other day and the staff were great really friendly and they give their opinion on the ones I trying when I asked which was which was helpful. Huge selection of clothes in at the moment I think they may have just got new stock. Also I checked out the kids department and it was full of trendy outfits for little people. I was so tempted to buy loads but i’m waiting to see if we do get a summer this year before splashing out of on shorts and t shirts for my son. I think they sell good quality clothing at reasonable prices. The kids clothes last I have found they will pass down from one child to the next.

This is a large Next store in the White Rose Centre. It has men’s wear, women’s wear, children’s wear and home wear sections. These are good quality clothes at reasonable prices. I love the children’s clothes they are really great quality and lovely styles. They do some great gifts at Christmas and some lovely accessories for women. When there’s a Next sale on people go crazy! They turn up at 5am and queue for ages, then they go in and grab grab grab! All the stock is all over the place and you can’t move. Stick to normal days in Next LOL.
