I have been looking for a good halal butchers in Leeds and have to say, Mahmood Butchers in Leeds 6 have the best variety of specialist/fine meats and game with amazing choice available including Venison and fresh homemade middle eastern inspired sausages which are very tasty and healthier than your usual fry up! Do not judge this little hidden gem in Leeds without trying it first. I can see why they are doing so well since they opened in the 80s! The owner is very friendly and staff are always happy with any special requests.

As many area’s in Leeds are inhabited predominantly by Muslim families, there is a large selection of Halal butchers, restaurants and takeaways. Mahmood’s is a small butchers on the edge of Hyde Park, and I have been assured by many people it is one of the best. They sell a wide range of Halal meat at very good prices (much cheaper than chain stores) and are extremely friendly and welcoming. If you are cooking a meal in which halal meat is must, then Mahmoods will have it and it wont cost you much at all.
