Business Owner

I was raised in Nuneaton by May and Des (after they left Northern Ireland to escape the troubles). I have an older sister Erica and came to Leeds University to study dentistry in 1988 (seems like yesterday).

I now feel an honorary Yorkshire man having lived here for over 20 years. I am a sports fan and played rugby union for Headingley and Leeds Tykes. I now play occasionally for the Wooden Spoon charity team and help coach the under7? s at West Park Leeds. I am still keeping fit and I am currently devoting my time to training for the Lakeland challenge next year and some triathlons.

What spare time I do get I spend with the family and I am slipping into the role of taxi driver, as the children get older and need ferrying from party to activity to activity!

Dentistry is my passion and I am aspiring to complete the Fellowship in dentistry; the highest post-​graduate award available to general dentists.

I wish that this teeth whitening technology was developed when I was younger and I’m only 40! Listen, I had the big ugly band braces on every single tooth in my head– talk about brace-​face!

Fantastic!
Some months ago I decided to make some enquiries into the possibility of enhancing the condition and look of my teeth. Mr Jon Swarbrigg was recommended to me as a practitioner with a very good reputation and equally good results.
Mr Swarbrigg was extremely helpful and understanding of my concerns. After my first consultation he explained what could be done and the results I could expect. He also provided me with before and after photographs of other patients who had previously been to him for treatments. He gave me the confidence to put my trust and teeth in his care. I saw Jon several times, firstly to take photographs and to prepare my teeth for the fitting of veneers. The results with the temporary veneers were astonishing.
He was always very professional and made me feel at ease during the work. When my permanent veneers were fitted I was thrilled with the results?! His attention to detail and commitment to gaining an aesthetically pleasing result is fantastic. It far exceeded my expectations.
I would have no hesitation in recommending his practice. In fact my first recommendation was to my own mum. She was looking to have some bridge work carried out and on seeing my results she happily attended his practice for the treatment. I chose to undertake my treatment in the private sector solely due to been able to decide when, where and who I wanted to perform the procedure.
