F&M Books is essentially a standard newsagent with an unusual name. It sells a wide range of magazines as well as newspapers, sandwiches, sweets, crisps and cigarettes. It also sells a slightly cheesy range of greetings cards and a selection of wrapping paper, some of which has an endearingly vintage quality, as though it has been there for a fair few years. Nothing really stands out for me about this newsagent, apart from the fact that you’d imagine from the name they might sell books… but apparently not! Maybe there’s some history behind the name… like the building used to house a book making factory or a dusty old book shop. Hope so!
