I wasn’t sure whether the place was even open when I opened the door because the interior was quite dim and I couldn’t see anyone but a barman appeared and further exploration revealed a couple of diners. I was quickly approached and asked if I would be dining, a lunchtime menu was produced and a drink brought from the bar. I have to say it wasn’t a massive menu but there were some tempting items and a lunchtime offer meant I got my soft drink free. I finally went for a Peri Peri chicken panini which arrived reasonably promptly(it took a chapter of my book). Now, I have a problem, the two members of staff were very pleasant and welcoming and the waitress did everything right with the checking in that everything was alright etc but I expected anything with the Peri Peri prefix to be a bit hot and it really wasn’t. The whole panini was really about cheese flavour(nice cheese but cheese none the less) the side salad was a few leaves in dressing and there was a reasonable portion of ‘from the freezer’ fries. The meal was ok and I wouldn’t complain but, well, you know when a meal just doesn’t inspire you???
