History
Established in 2009.
Primecuts has traded successfully in the busy, upwardly mobile Leeds suburb of Chapel Allerton for the last 3 years. I brought my large following of loyal customers –some of whom have been with me for 25yrs– from my previous tenure in two of Chapel A’s busiest salons, and my own barbershop, Union Jax, which I ran successfully for several years in the Hyde Park area of Leeds. Our local popularity has increased hugely in the last 3yrs and we enjoy a privileged position as a salon in a competitive, cosmopolitan area where children are as welcome as adults. We are now aiming to expand our staff & services to meet our growing popularity
Meet the Business Owner
Chris J.
Business Owner
I have been a hairdresser in Leeds for the last 30yrs. In this time I’ve had the privilegte to work for and alongside the staff and owners of Oasis, Headingley, City Gent, Headingley, Roberto Moura, Leeds City Ctre, Modern Hairdressing, Leeds City Ctre, among others. I also ran my own salon ‘Union Jax’ for several years in the Hyde Park area of Leeds. After suffering a serious back problem, I decided to to study at Leeds City Colleges where I attained an NVQ3 in men’s hairdressing, as well as the A1 Assessor’s Award, then also completing a course preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector. I decided teaching in college was not for me at this stage, yet felt I needed to use the consolidation of my skills and experience to run what is now my present and most successful venture, Chris Jones Primecuts… Here’s to the future!
