Bocketts Farm Park

The animals here are seems happy and contented unlike other
zoos that I already visited. The Hackney Zoo is the best
way to spend your day with your family especially your kids. The place is good, it’s a good way to relax
and unwind. You can take and see all the attractions that they offer in just
one day. This place is clean and neat with a selection of animals to see from
the smallest to biggest animals that the zoo can offered. There are also souvenir shops that
you can buy. They also have store where you cantake a coffee and even a
sandwich or and an ice cream to eat. It is a brilliant place and I will make
sure that I will visit it again.

This was a great place to take the kids! We could have spent literally all day here: between the animals to visit and pet, completely different indoor and outdoor play areas — and a fabulous indoor slide, etc, there was TONS to do, weather permitting.
Entrance fees (when we went in fall 2012) for adults & kids 3−17yrs old: 9.20 pounds, Kids 2 yrs old: 7.60 pounds, and under 2 yrs old: free. Extra for the Pony rides and Tractor rides. Money well spent if you arrive early and stay as long as possible to maximize the expense.
If you can only go for a short time, ask about the After school rate.
We really loved the tractor ride (1.25 pounds per adult) — while it was a little hard to hear the narration (it was windy that day) we enjoyed the fun bumpy ride around the farm — They had some clever decoration in honor of the Halloween season.
Little Hoppington area is ADORABLE: the animal village for animal handling, goat milking and various bunnies in their own «houses» that you can feed. So cute!
And the adults turned into kids once we got on the giant slide. They even have a cute little gift shop which stocks kids Wellies/​rain boots for 15 pounds. (no entrance fee to enter the Gift shop)
PLUS: the food they served at the Old Barn Tearoom (you can eat there without paying entrance fee) was shockingly delicious. Most places like this have mediocre food. I thought this place gave generously portioned and well priced meals: My hubby, 3 yr old son and I shared a Shepherd’s Pie, the kids mac and cheese (came with salad on the side) scone w/​jam & clotted cream, and a Ribena drink for less than 10 pounds. I’m a FAN.

I knocked off one star only because of the horrendous traffic one encounters upon trying to re-​enter London.
Otherwise, if you have children (10 and under), you can’t beat this place. Rain or shine, there is tons for the little ones to do. Indoor play areas, small animals inside that you can stroke, and big animals outside that you can feed. Huge outdoor play area, plus pony rides (age 3 and up), pig races and more, mean that you can literally spend the entire day here.
The is a tearoom serving exactly what you would expect… Sandwiches, pasta, stuffed potatoes, etc. They will certainly not be earning any Michelin stars, but no one will starve. They even sell a small amount of baby food.

5 star place to take the kids! An all round great experience for the family.

My son’s favourite place in the world until he reached 10! Everyone is very friendly and seems like they really enjoy what they do. Not that there is a best time to go, but if I had to choose, Spring is fun because of all the new baby animals.

Possibly my two year old daughter’s favourite place in the world. Animals include the usual pigs, goats and sheep, which you can handfeed. Also, chickens, horses and alpacas. There is an animal handling centre, where the kids can stroke guinea pigs, rabbits and chicks, and see goats being milked. Outdoor activities include trampolines and a huge bouncy pillow (grown ups not allowed –boo), whilst indoors there is soft play and a great big slide, which grown ups can go on with little ‘uns on their laps. Add in pig racing and pony rides for over 3’s and what more could you ask for? Oh yes, a lovely caff!

Great day out for everyone! We took our three nieces (6÷7÷8) when visiting from Scotland and they loved it! They loved feeding the animals, the piggy race, the handling and learning session, and the fantastic play area which is huge! The four adults who took them loved Brockets Farm just as much! It was fantastic

This is a fab place to take the kids, and great for parents to put their feet up in the Barn Café. Very popular in the summer, Bocketts is surrounded by some beautiful countryside and after visiting the farm why not take a walk up into Norbury Park

A brilliant day out for animal or tractor-​mad children. Bocketts is a working farm set in beautiful countryside and my son’s idea of heaven. There is a massive barn with lots of friendly baby animals to pet as well as more animals outside. The piglet racing is something everyone ought to see before they die! Tractor rides and horse rides are available and there are child-​size electric and pedal tractors too. When you get bored of animals there is a fantastic outside play area with wendy houses, massive sand pits, climbing equipment for all ages and a selection of trampolines. The giant jumping pillow is great fun too. Bocketts has a brilliant café in an old barn with more high chairs than I have ever seen before in my life. The menu is varied, prices reasonable and portions huge. Bocketts is only a short drive from London and for the car-​free it’s only 5 mins from Leathehead station in a taxi.
