Having recently moved here I was delighted to see what I thought would be similar to other milkshake bars of this type. Hmmm, not so it seems. I’ve never seen a queue in here, which isn’t a good start. Secondly, I found that I couldn’t partake of anything in here, as unlike the original, this copy does not offer soya alternatives to their dairy fare. Personal issues aside, the black and white photocopied menu is cheap looking, but the shop is nicely decorated

Recently refurbished(but layout just the same) and now reopened. Stockist of Mövenpick icecream(they’ll make any of the flavours into a milkshake even if it’s not on the menu, I recommend lemon meringue). The milkshakes are delicious but the smoothies are made with too much orange juice, in my opinion, and are not pleasant. Unusually they also stock Snapple which seems to be rare in the UK now. No website but they have over 100 ideas for milkshakes on their menu and frequently have guest milkshakes(which you can suggest). Recently it was Dime Bar. Very yummy.

Cow offers over 100 milkshakes, so allow yourself plenty of time just to study the menu! The ideas they have come up with are mindboggling, but every one I have tried from here has been very tasty. I can recommend the Jamaica Ginger Cake, and the peanut butter and chocolate. The shop is tiny but you don’t need to be in it long(so long as there isn’t a queue) — they make the milkshake up fresh in front of your eyes. Take a walk with it from there to Jephson Gardens and enjoy.
