Royal Mail Sorting Office

I had to come over here yesterday to collect a parcel which wouldn’t go through my letter box while I was out! It was the first time I’d looked for the sorting office I had no idea where it was because you can’t see it from the road or any of the store fronts around this retail park.
Finally, someone told me how to get there and I walked to it from the Homebase Car Park. It took me 5 – 10 minutes and I found it across some waste ground (covered in wild flowers) behind Homebase. There is a small road which you can drive along right up to the building; there’s plenty of space in which to park, even a disabled bay immediately outside the office. The whole site is very large and dozens of Royal Mail vans were parked off to one side.
The door says automatic but that mechanism is obviously broken as you have to give it a good push! There was no other person waiting and Andrew found my parcel for me very quickly.
Pity this place isn’t is a more accessible place although, once you know where to find it, it’s not too bad.
