The food in Tong Thai is exceptional — spicy but with the lovely clean and sharp flavours characteristic of Thai food. The king prawn basil and beef with black pepper are favourites in our household.
The restaurant is only let down by its’ situation and layout. It is in a parade of shops, next door to a chip shop and as it does takeways the door is always opening and closing with people coming and goimg. This destroys the mood and lets in a draught.
For that reason I recommend having a takeaway. The front of house manager is exceptionally friendly and we always enjoy going there.
Order your takeway then pop over to The Trading Post for a drink unil its ready!
Highly recommended.
