The only problem with this rail station is that it’s out the way, a good 15 – 20 mins walk up into Kettering town, however that cannot be helped due to the rail track. Two car parks, east and west. The east car park is almost always full, so the best option is to use the west although it’s a good walk up to it. The station is very clean, live information boards up to date on the wall. The staff are extremely helpful, provide you with the best route and prices. The Pumpkin Café located inside the station is ideal place to await your train if the weather is bitter. Although the pricing on their beverages and snacks is quite expensive.

As stations go this isn’t great but not bad either. It has a smallish but nice café, prices on the dear side but station prices often are. Toilet aren’t bad for station toilets, they are cleaner than you expect them to be.

No, I’m not a trainspotter but as small, local stations go this is excellent. All the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and make the station a friendly place. There are 4 platforms but only really 2 in use — Platform 3 for Southbound(stopping at various combinations of Wellingborough, Bedford, Luton, Luton Airport Parkway and then arriving into the lovely St Pancras. Takes between 50 minutes &1 hr 10 depending on service & how often it stops. Platform 4 goes Northbound — Market Harborough, Leicester then a choice of Nottingham, Derby, Leeds, Sheffield with various stops in between. Nice café and decent toilets. What does annoy me though is that last time I was there, 3 weeks after the clocks went back, all station clocks still showed the wrong time!
