We specialise in the more technical aspects of the trade to ensure our customers are provided with scaffolding that suits their needs and a cost that suits their pocket.

History
Established in 1989.
Marine Scaffolding Ltd started trading in October 1989 and the three founder members remain at the company.
The shipbuilding and offshore industry dried up on the Tyne forcing the company to diversify into other environments including domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.
We have maintenance contracts with some heavy weight companies and framework agreements with local authorities and the company is a verified Safe Trader.
Meet the Manager
Anthony M.
Manager
Leaving school in 1983 I began working life as an apprentice electrician progressing into electrical engineering (ONC) before taking a summer job as a scaffolding labourer with Sterling Scaffolding, in 1987 where I fell in love with the trade.
After a few years my colleague Gary Linsley, brother Peter Mullen and I decided to start a company to concentrate on the thriving shipbuilding industry in the area. Unfortunately this coincided with a recession; unperturbed we struggled on and eventually started generating business.
I went to night classes to gain an ONC in Business Studies so I could grasp the business side of the trade and after a few more years we were established as a reliable and affordable scaffolding company.
Over the years I’ve improved my competence levels by gaining a NEBOSH qualification, an HNC in Engineering and most recently a Transport managers professional competence award.
Despite the some highs and lows the company ticks all the boxes for dependability.
