The Mall Ilford

Naf Naf and more Naf! Seriously run of the mill shopping centre. I’m really surprised M&S is their to be honest, I can see why Stratford Westfield would be more of an attractive option to go to. It’s just basic and lame!

Was assaulted by the security of Wilkinson while outside the store in the Exchange on Saturday 5^th of May. Medical injuries confirmed by doctor and management of Wilkinson and THe Exchange have offered a tepid response saying that the staff were stressed by another incident I was uninvolved in.
Stay away unless you are in a risk taking mode or adept with martial arts.

Originally this was called The Exchange, before recently being re-​branded as The Mall. Unless there has been a sudden influx of Americans into Ilford, then I am not really sure of the wisdom behind the name change.
It seems to me like the name is the only thing that has changed — everything else is pretty much the same as it’s always been.
The Mall is your typical, run-​of-​the-​mill middle of town shopping centre. It has a Marks & Spencers, it has a Thorntons, it has a few sports shops and it has a food court. That’s pretty much all there is to say. The Mall is nothing if not unremarkable.
It’s pleasant enough; and reasonably clean. If you’re in the need of some typical stuff, y’know, like a scarf, a new pair of jeans or a pencil; then this place will probably do the job. I’ve always found it a bit depressing though; but then I am not one for shops. Let me buy something online and I’ll be happy!

I find myself regularly popping down to Ilford Exchange when I’ve forgotten someone’s birthday and need to pick a little something up — a great collection of shops that come in handy for last minute bits and bobs.
3^rd level has a pleasant food court so you can take a break from heavy-​duty shopping. I do recommend stopping by at the Hi-​Juice Bar on the 2^nd level — GREAT selection of fruit juices and smoothies.
They have a 3-​level car park and even a car-​wash service whilst you shop — perfect for first-​time visits to the girlfriend’s/boyfriend’s parents; a box of Thorntons chocolates and a clean car… you’ll have marital approval almost immediately!!!
