The FCL Maths programme is designed to equip children with the fundamental skills required for success in school.

The FCL English programme draws upon a variety of imaginative materials from synthetic phonics to skills for secondary pupils; it follows principles which make it ideal for all learners. The programme takes a multisensory approach enabling all children — whatever their learning style or ability — to develop the key skills which will allow them to read fluently, spell accurately and write confidently.

History

Established in 2011.

The centre opened in May 2011 and since has been running extremely successfully. A number of parents have registered their children through recommendation from other parents. Due to increase in demand a second centre is due to open by summer 2012. What makes this tuition centre different to other centres, is that there is a maximum number of children who can attend in any one time. Quality is a priority rather than the quantity of children attending. And support is always available to students throughout the lessons. In some circumstances 1:1 can also be available. The centres ethos is to ensure the student’s academic needs are adhered to by regular assessments to ensure they are making steady progress.
