The surroundings are salubrious, the décor kind of nice if not a little bland. But the coffee, which should be great, was sadly mediocre — a great disappointment considering the prices and the strong branding associated with Costa. This isn’t just limited to this store — I often find that cafes in the UK don’t properly teach their staff how to make good coffee. So the beans might be good but the end product is sadly lacking. A little barrista training wouldn’t go a miss. This was definitely the case in this store. It’s not terrible. Just overpriced and very average.
