The Piper

Had some Great nights in Piper.
Unfortunately now the Entrance fee is Quite High! and it does get pretty Full as it is located in the Student area of Hull.
The atmosphere is usually quite good and the beer is Average

Had many a good night in the Piper. It gets a bit too full on a night now though, with an expensive entrance fee on club /​events nights though.
Still a nice buzzing place.

The piper club is in the popular Newland Avenue area of Hull and is set little back from the main street.
Mainly popular with students but is quite popular with a lot of people.
Monday nights is the main student night offering drink at a £1 a go, however you can only get in with an NUS card.
Friday nights is loaded which plays indie, drum and bass and a bit of rock.
Saturday nights use to be YO YO but this has now moved to Assylum and so now plays chart music and a few classics.
If you are a student, as this is part of the Its a Scream chain you can get a yellow card which means if you want a cheap night out this goes hand in hand with the Hayworth Arms.
Piper has also hosted some live bands and have also DJ sets from the likes of dirty pretty things and the mystery jets.
All in all a really good night out.

the piper is an interesting venue set back from the main road on newland avenue. you would hardly know its there, which a bit strange given the size of it! its an intersting building inside with a dome ceiling that you wouldnt expect. can get very busy with students and youngsters as it is a scream pub so does yellow card deals on cheap booze.

good drinks good music good atmosphere, hard to find maybe if you don’t know where it is, set back on newland avenue entrance looks like the opening of a back street garage but if you know where to go its worth trying out. My friends like it here too its always at the top of the list when planning a good night out and never fails to impress when your actually there.

The piper is a wonderful place and the indie night is fantastic. It is a pub during the day, so if you go in before 9.30 you can get in free. Its a litte overpriced and even with the Scream Card, it is still more expensive than other student places. Its right in the middle of the student area, so you can walk there and back. There are pleanty of places to eat on you way back home too.
