Established in 2011.

Picture Frames and Art is an established picture frames and art supplier based in Hull, East Yorkshire. We have over 45 years’ experience in the picture framing industry and are here to pass this on to new customers in Hull and surrounding areas.

We are here to assist businesses and the public with all their framing requirements, as you will see from our services pages we offer a variety of services. We provide framed art to canvas manufacturers and are heavily involved in the hotel and leisure industries. Whilst we have been busy supplying these business sectors we have also been creating bespoke pieces for many people and photographers who rely on our services to create unique frames for special photos and pieces of art.

We have a large showroom and warehouse in Hull which is open to the public Monday — Thursday 8am — 5pm and on Fridays and Saturdays 8am-​4pm. We welcome anybody to bring anything they require framing or just to come and have a look at the products we have on display

Meet the Manager

Mick Marshall M.

Manager

Mick Marshall has over 45 years’ experience in the picture frame and mouldings industry and has set up this business in Hull to be able to share his talent and wealth of experience in the local area. Below is a snapshot into the life of Mick Marshall.

1962 — 1965: Studied at Barnsley Art School — received prize for the most outstanding artist of the year.

1965 — 1968: Studied at Coventry College of Art and Design, studied graphic design and illustration.

1968 — 1969: Moved to London to pursue a career in Freelancing. His work includes illustrations of The Beatles yellow submarine film, illustration for hotels in the UK, USA, South Africa, South of France and Saudi Arabia also drawing out plans for the Architects.

1969 — 1974: Started work with frame maker Alfred Hecht on Kings Road, Chelsea where he met and produced frames for top artists of the day including Francis Bacon, Henry Moore, Graham Sutherland, David Hockney, John Piper and many more. It was here that Mick learned how to
