Upperhead Row is one of the main car parks in Huddersfield Town center, however it certainly is far from new, fancy, cool and modern, at least for how car parks go anyway. Infact, it is the opposite of those terms. The car park is pretty small, narrow and hard to get up and it is hard to check if they are open or not, I just presumed it would be, as it wasn’t fenced off, however once I had got to the top, I had realised they was a gate there, which was ridiculous as they was barely any notice that«the bus station» car park was actually closed. I do feel they need to move the barrier down to avoid confusion in the future, which is inconvenient, and especially with it being so narrow and inconvenient, it can be quite hard to get down, as you physically have to drive backwards, with no space to move elsewhere. For a car park, which is supposed to be one of the main car parks in Huddersfield, the layout is pretty confusing and disgraceful, and can lead to poor, annoying situations like this, and even more so when it could cost so little to stop this problem, such as making it a little wider, a nicer car park to go into, clearly stating whether it is open or closed, and simply being a car park. If you need to park in Huddersfield, I’d advise going across the way to Huddersfield.
