We specialise in audio and the hiring out of such equipment; including speakers, amplifiers, microphones, microphone and speaker stands, mixing desks, effects and processors and much more. All of our engineers are highly trained and experienced, with a passion for audio and providing the best customer service experience. We also provide a dry-​hire service with free delivery and collection in the Yorkshire area.

We use only top, well known brands and all of our gear is up-​to-​date and in top condition; so you can be sure that your event won’t only sound great but it will look the part too!

History

Established in 2013.

Audiex was started by Paul Cowling after working in the AV industry for years and getting increasingly frustrated by the way in which companies were run. For Audiex, customer service and staff morale are the most important factors in running a business, along with honesty, reliability, and being presentable to your clients (all this of course besides supplying the best gear and making your events sound amazing of course!).

Paul started the business with a tiny bank loan and a credit card with which to get the minimum equipment with which to start putting on local gigs, with great service and at a price that people can realistically afford to pay. From here there is a long and difficult building process; but we have every confidence that our experience and passion will result in a successful, flourishing business where we, along with our customers, will achieve everything that we hope to.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Paul started doing lighting and sound at events at the age of 12; providing technical support for school music and drama productions. At 15 he went on to play guitar in a band and did this for about ten years, during which time playing well over 100 gigs and achieving a degree in Music Technology and Audio Systems.

From here he went on to work for several PA hire and AV companies as an engineer, working on professional events and AV installations for around six years. This included a six month secondment doing events in Spain and also working on events and in the studio for local radio station ‘The Pulse of West Yorkshire.’ Paul has worked with acts such as You Me At Six, Joe Pasquale, The Happy Mondays and The Wailers, and has provided tech support at events for businesses such as Yorkshire Water, Dr. Oetker, Mitie, Aagrar and BMW to name but a few.

He is also an experienced recording studio engineer/​music producer. Examples of his work can be found on our website.
