My wife and I visited the Beamish Museum and booked in this hotel on the internet. When we arrived late Saturday night I was a little worried as there was a large wedding reception taking place. But I shouldn’t have worried. We checked in and then went down for a meal. Service was good and the food great. Breakfast the following morning was first class. I’d recommend anyone to stay here, the rates were good and the only problem is that it is difficult to find if you haven’t got GPS!

The Chilton lodge county pub and hotel is a lovely place to go for a family meal out especially on a sunday when they do a spectacular carvery meal. My family and i really enjoy going here for a sunday lunch as the atmosphere is delightful and relaxed, the food is always delicious and piping hot and the staff are very friendly and attentive.
I have never had any problems with the food here. If you intend to go here for a meal i would suggest that you enquire about reserving a table as it can get rather busy at ‘peak’ times.
