Food was very expensive and not very good. The dumpling were cold and I feel like the curry made me sick. I wouldn’t suggest it.

Really excellent lunch. I’d recommend the Two Giggling Squid tapas plate featuring exquisite salt and pepper squid, a tasty chicken curry with rice, and a delicious beef salad. The squid was so good we ordered a second plate — perfectly cooked in a light but tasty batter and a well-balanced sweet chilli sauce. The service was excellent: our waiter provided us with three different chilli dipping sauces(v.hot) on request. Extremely reasonably priced — lunch for two with a bottle of wine came in at £30.

Came here last night. Very busy with a good atmosphere, and plentiful number of staff. Quite typical street food type set up, with wooden tables set quite close together. We had prawn crackers to start and the staff were happy to supply us with another pot of chilli sauce when we ran out. I tried the fish cakes, and then we had the chicken Massaman curry and the chicken Jungle curry. The latter was very spicy. The food was unremarkable. The lavender and honey ice cream was very creamy and good, but I couldn’t detect the lavender. We were happy with the bill though: £55 including wine. I’d like to see what the fish curries are like so will return. When we walked out past the only other Thai restaurant in Henley, it was notable that it was practically empty.

It’s about time that Henley had a new Thai place. The Orchid up the road has been there since time began and, other than racking it’s prices through the roof, is still nestled in the 80s. The Giggling Squid fits into the cosy, wooden beamed interior of this building really well creating a nicely intimate ambience. As far as staff, politeness and so-on go, you won’t be at all surprised. The usual smiles, helpfulness and assistance await even better in my situation, bearing in mind the emotional state that I was in. Because of the above, I ordered enough food for a coach party some of which is still sitting in the fridge at home a couple of days later. The food was absolutely superb. Really fresh. Really tasty and I’m glad that I staggered in there. Especially so, being as how the alternative would have been kebabs all round. I’m docking one star purely because the prices are a little on the steep side. All said an done though, I will definitely be going back and strongly suggest that you do the same.

Went on the opening night. Things were a little hectic but this is easily the best Thai in Henley and a much needed bit of quality for the town. Everything was excellent but the mussel starter and some of the fish curries stood out.
