The local Police are a reasonably good bunch who have the general public’s concerns and safety as their main priority. The local police station is located relatively close to the main town centre and you can drop in if you wish to pursue any matter face to face. Apart from local walking or driving the beat, the police men and women play an active part in the local community. Liaising directly with neighbourhood watch programs and local businesses to try and identify problems before they occur and prevent future occurrence. The town itself is fairly problem free with the exception of a few drunken youths on the weekend. The police are assisted in preventing crime by a town centre wide CCTV system.
