Description

Specialties

I have been a childminder since 2001 and have learned that working with children is a truly rewarding fun experience. I have looked after children of all ages and i have written references from parents who have been happy with the service i provide.

I aim to provide Activities/Visits to help develop children morally, socially and educationally to help them reach their full potential within a warm, friendly, caring, family environment.

My Qualifications

I have completed a CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Childminding Practice, Paediatric First Aid, a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering and a Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety within the workplace.

I am Quality Assured through the East Sussex Quality Assured Childminding Network and i am a Support Childminder, acting as a mentor to new childminders being established in the area.

I regularly attend workshops and training days for my own professional development and constantly strive to improve my setting.

My name is Mandy and i live with my husband and 14 year old daughter on the outskirts of Heathfield Town Centre. The ground floor of our home is used for childminding and the walls are full of colourful, interesting and educational posters and pictures to stimulate my minded children. There is plentiful space to benefit from a variety of activities; role play, small world toys, instruments and craft. In addition to the few named, the children have access to many more educational toys and books. Outside we have a safe decked area and a large garden full of outdoor play equipment; sand pit, paddling pool, trampoline, bouncy castle. At the end of our garden we have set up a chip-barked area to accommodate swings and slides.
