The Wheatsheaf is a really good British pub with a good selection of pumps, including 5 bitters on tap. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is excellent and hearty. I regularly dine here, though unless I’m starving I go straight to the main course. If this is not enough food for you there’s always a good desert menu on offer! The ribs are amazing, so much so they moved from a special to the main menu. If you’re in the area I’d recommend dropping in for at least a pint! Book a table on Sundays to avoid disappointment.

This is a lovely pub in a lovely little village. It’s pretty big so excellent for large groups and they have a really nice beer garden for the warmer days. Excellent selection of real ales and a pretty impressive wine list only adds to the charm of this place. I know Nick the chef pretty well as he used to cook at my old local and can promise you his food is excellent. He prides himself on sourcing his produce as locally and as fresh as possible. The Wednesday night curry nights are very popular and very good value for money. They have a hotel side to the business too and rooms start at £50 per night including a full breakfast.
