fairly mediocre 4 star hotel that is more focused on larger events rather than individual experience.
The location is scenic and in the Summer would be picture perfect. Checkin was fast and got asigned a newly refurbished room on 1^st floor. The room was functional but lacked attention to detail such as no toilet roll in either holder. The extractor fan in need of clean and the shower needs a pressure injection.
Could I also suggest that someone takes a can of WD40 and oils doors as the creaking would be worthy of some haunted houses.
I ate in the bar and food like everything else was average and only macro beers on tap with no real ales or wider selection.
The hotel was near to where I needed to be for 2 days so served its purpose but not my expectations.
Shout out to the staff as they at least displayed an interest.

Nice country side hotel on the entrance to Hayling island. You’re guaranteed to share the hotel with wedding parties in the weekend due to its location next to the water, but weeknights are relatively quit. It’s easy to get to off the A27 or A3(M), except on weekends when Hayling Island is overrun with day tourists.
The rooms are reasonable size and condition with trouser press /​ironing board combination, safe and fan. Avoid rooms facing the restaurant or car park due to noise. The back wing is quieter. Breakfast is ok. Standard British fare. Nothing special. Coffee comes out of a machine.
