Excellent traditional pud. Clean inside with well priced drinks and a perfectly balanced pool table that charges 50p a go. There’s also a nice decked area out the back where people can go for a breath of «fresh air», I’m looking forward to sitting out there once the summer comes again as I missed it this year due to only recently discovering this pub.
The food here is excellent. About 6 – 8 quid for most meals on the menu, the selection is wide and the portions are huge. Six of us went the other day, we all got something different and everyone of us thought it was delicious.
There’s a bus stop just outside through which the 36 passes. This will get you back to most places in Hartlepool and it runs till after last orders!
