What a disgusting place this is. I used to frequent this bar about 15 years ago, and it was stylish and top end. I called in yesterday with a friend from Newcastle and raved about it a bit… What a smelly, grotty, sess pit this was. I thought it was safer to drink from a bottle rather than the glasses. The shutters were down inside and the mens toilet door was wide open and stinking of piss. We downed our drinks and left NEVERGOTHEREAGAIN

This bar is a dimly lit ex-public toilet, and thats properly to disguise the fact that the bar(and staff) haven’t had a good clean since it was a public urinal. On a Friday and Saturday night 3 door staff are employed to stand outside and let underage scruffs from the surrounding area to take use of the toilets as a place to vomit 8WKD’s and a McDonalds value meal. Definitely avoid this when in Halifax!

This bar is tucked away underground in what used to be a set of public loos. There is a great relaxed atmosphere in here, with pool tables and a juke box. It is also visited by a slightly older clientele so you are not having to tread on drunk teenagers as much as some other locations in Halifax.

Fondly referred to by the locals under its former name of WCs this is perhaps the only bar in the UK housed in a former public lavatory. There the novelty ends. Its dimly lit to the point of being seedy and is now a dedicated rock shack and a haven for bikers. They operate a daytime Happy Hour but its still makes your skin crawl. Its well worth a visit just to be able to tell your mates you had a beer in the WC but make it a swift half there are plenty more pubs and clubs in Halifax.
