The street name says it all(The shambles). Went here for a spot of lunch today and found it has seriously gone down hill since the last review. £5.95 for a Panini that was served with what seemed to be the broken crumbs from a packet of cheese Doritos. The tuna melt was literally a tiny bit of tuna, packaged sliced cheddar(with a weird flavour) and a solitary rocket leaf. I didn’t finish it. My wife had the Parma ham which looked grey and again scrimping on the filling. Both were flat as a pancake. She had also asked for the cheese to be taken out which it wasn’t which wouldn’t be that difficult unmelted but afterwards proved impossible! Also, the server took every opportunity to stand in the doorway smoking and didn’t wash his hands when coming back in. Dine at your disappointment(and a lighter wallet).

This is a very small café, but has a few more tables outside if the weather’s OK. As you can tell by the name, it is Italian themed and offers a range of snacks. I can’t remember all they do, but we tried coffee and paninis. The panini’s are freshly made when you order at the counter. These were absolutely marvellous. Chock full of top quality authentic ingredients. Mine was Italian sausage and Mrs B’s had salami(and not any old salami mind). Both had an excellent tomoato sauce. These were marginally more pricey than any of the chains, but bear no comparison really just due to the quality and quantity of fillings. The bread was lovely as well. Coffees very competent also. Friendly efficient service. Highly recommended.
