I’ve been using this place since i was a broke law student at the Guildford law school.
On first inspection it does not inspire confidence — I’ll admit that. It’s a large corrugated iron sheet — I hesitate to use the word — building.
However
Inside is a brilliant mechanic with ALL the latest computer wizardry. At least here you are not paying for presentation, you’re paying for engineering skill. And Boy does JB Motors have that.
I’ve taken my: — Citroen BX there, Mercedes Benz 190, Mercedes 300SL, Mercedes 270 CDi Estate, Maserati Ghibli (1968), AC Cobra (genuine — for a complete rebuild) and now I’ll start taking my bikes there.
Is there anything John Brown does not know about cars and bikes?
His service is faultless (he now collects and delivers my cars back to me in central London and only charges for the rail and tube tickets !!!). He is half the price of anyone else and if he finds a problem he calls you, if he finds a broken part he keeps it and shows it to you when the job is over.
Cannot recommend him highly enough (JB Motors is a one man band)
Cheap and utterly brilliant. Wouldn’t take my machinery anywhere else — and lets be honest — some of my cars/​bikes are not cheap — I wouldn’t trust them to anyone else.
