I think this Cineworld is lovely. The seats are big, there’s loads of leg room, and as it’s a bit out of London, it’s a bit cheaper. There’s loads of restaurants and shops in the complex, and while it’s a good 10 minute walk from Wembley underground, it’s only 2 minutes from Wembley Stadium station, which is only 9 minutes from Marylebone, so pretty convenient. The lost star is for the ridiculously bad staff at the concession stand — they’re slow, they flirt and giggle and goof off — and the number of Bollywood movies. But it’s to be expected for the local population, I suppose. I just rather it wasn’t at the expense of other big releases.

The Cineworld at the London Designer Outlet is still fairly new. Had this review been written back in the early days then it would have received a lower mark but the staff have since stopped pratting around behind the counter and actually now get on with their jobs. First the good things — this counts as outer london so the cheaper rate on an unlimited card kicks in, plus there is generally decent legroom in all the seats. The bad… It’s on the top floor — and there’s no single lift from the ground level. So you need to take two lifts(one of them hidden as it faces Wagamamas) or four escalators. Crazy right?! This is a new build, I hope they didn’t pay the architects a great deal for that stroke of genius. It also loses points for the number Bollywood films it shows. They’re just my cup of tea, and it’s been more than once that we’ve had to go to a different Cineworld because they didn’t show a Hollywood film during release week or at such a rubbish frequency that the times were all pants. Any way, rant over. :)
