Free parking, open now until 9pm, FRESH fruit and vegetables, seasonal stock, all the necessities and did I mention the GLUTENFREE chocolate range? This place has me sold! The meat is reasonably priced and always very decent — when cooking I find hardly any water residue. The vegetables and fruit don’t go off quickly at all and they are much cheaper to buy here, with more quantity, than that you would find in an Asda or Tesco or Morrisons. Their fridged goods will leave you with the best sandwiches for weeks on end. Rack it all up here and forget ever eating out at Subway ever again. You can make ULTIMATE sandwich feasts from the cooked meats section along! It’s more or less £1 per pack of Chorizo, Salami, Ham and so much more! The staff are friendly and have hands that move the items through the til like hotcakes to ensure customers are dealt with quickly to avoid queues. My kinda shop! The only reason I have rated this place down 1 star is because you have to pay for shopping bags… I guess I’ve become too used to other shops giving bags for free. The bags are strong and do have a longer life than that of an Asda or Tesco bag! Yes, I am an Aldi girl and I do like the fact I can walk here!

A bit tricky to find if you are travelling by car, as it is on the one way system that runs through the town, but worth making the effort, as I don’t think you can beat Aldi on fruit, veg and alcohol and £1 chorizo anyone! Negotiating the store any other way is easy though, as it is only a couple of minutes walk from the bus station and tram stop.
