Red House Computers

I wouldn’t even give them one star but I wanted to write a review. My daughter bought a top of the range HP laptop from them back in August that has done nothing but go wrong and has been returned to their shop on many occasions. The final straw was that a few weeks ago the battery packed up so she took it back to the shop for replacement. They promised a quick return as my daughter explained that her daughter needed it urgently for her homework assignments. Having had no response from them over the nest couple of weeks she contacted them on several occasions but was fobbed off with the excuse that they were waiting for the replacement battery to arrive. Eventually, in despair my daughter collected the laptop, minus the replacement battery for her to use it via the mains. Eventually a couple of weeks later a replacement battery did arrive, only to discover it was not a genuine HP model and worse still the wrong battery. My daughter immediately phoned the shop to be greeted by a rude arrogant woman who showed no sympathy even though it was obvious that my daughter was very upset. My daughter tried to reason with her but was greeted with the statement «I will speak with you when you calm down» and then put the phone down on her. I intend contacting the Trade association and watchdog over this disgraceful behaviour. Naturally I will never use this company again and advice BUYERS BE AWARE.

Not sure how they got their Ebay rating but I agree with all the comments about both the service and the attitude.

Excellant computer store; helpful staff who know exactly what they are talking about, no complicated technical stuff and jargon. Service area for all your computer needs and supplies a wide range of new computer equipment at reasonable prices. It was the first time I have visited Red House, I was recommended by two people who have used them before and couldn’t speak highly enough of them, now I know why, will definately use them again in the future, no more PC World for me! High recommended.
