I attend quite few classes at Blackshots and I find the staff there very friendly and the classes well equipped. The instructors Wendy, Helen and Roy aka as oh God by the time you have finished one of his classes are brilliant and keep you well motivated. There are not many people who can get me out of bed for a class at 9.30 in the morning but Wendy and Helen do a fantasic job especially on the weekends. Try it you won’t regret it!

I go to Impulse Leisure centre for their Pilates classes on a Saturday. The room that we use is the new Kinesis room, which is an ultra modern room next to the café in the foyer. I havent used any of the other facilities in the leisure centre for a while, as I found it was quite pricey. The class that we have though is great, there is only a few people in the class, and the instructor is lovely. She is a very positive person with lots of good information on health. The car park for the centre is quite big, but when there is something going on like a gala or an event at the adjoining Civic Hall it is hard to find a space.

not been to blackshots leisure centre for a while now but i can say that it has a good reputation for the swimming pool and gym area, the pool is quite big with a onlooking veiwing area above the pool, the changing rooms are well equipped with facitlies i. e lockers etc cleaniness is good and good prices for entrance fees.

Go swimming there regularly every Wednesday as only 50P all day if over 16 years. Best time to go is lunchtime as not very many people then. Staff friendly enough, always polite with a smile. Changing rooms reasonable but could be checked more often for cleaniness. Toilets clean. Lockers adequate. Havent used the gym but seems busy and popular enough.

the quality of service here is terrible, the staff have the impession of not caring and are simply there to take your money. the pool is clean and heated but tends to get very crowded most days and so not so much fun as would be liked.

I tried to join this gym a few weeks ago. There was limited information available in the foyer & when I approached the reception /information desk, a rather rude employee grunted & then pointed at the rack of leaflets I had just looked at, after explaining that the information was not there, the member of staff muttered somthing & walked away. I waited for about 5 mins but no one returned so I left!
