Sadly The Ram Cider House closed in October 1999. The Ram was one of the best pubs around and had a warm and very friendly atmosphere which was great. they had a lovely garden and outside area that was great in the summer, The staff were always friendly and you were always greeted with a smile. Its a shame its gone but we will always remember the place.

This pub is really cosy. Perhaps I thought it was especially welcoming as we chose to eat there on a particularly wet cold day last winter after failing to find somewhere that still served lunch after 2. The barman was extremely friendly and chatty and we sat on the sofas by the roaring fireplace which felt like being at home. The food was good and not too expensive. It is a rather big venue so I guess it may get pretty full in the evenings but it was nice and quiet when we were there on Sunday afternoon.
